Columbia Elementary is located in the north-east quadrant of the City of St. Louis in the Jeff- Vander Lou and Old St. Louis neighborhoods. Our enrollment is approximately 225 students in grades PK (3) to 5th in general education. Columbia also host gifted classrooms in grades PK to 5th grades. Columbia offers many systems of support for our students who show up every day ready to learn.
Requirements:
- Students must achieve eligible scores on tests administered by the SLPS Gifted Testing Offices. Scores submitted for test results administered by private testing vendors will not be accepted for review. Scores submitted for tests administered by other school districts are subject to review and approval by the SLPS Gifted Testing Offices.
- Minimum eligible scores are 90th percentile on intelligence and academic achievement tests.
- Gifted Permission to Assess online submission form must be returned 1 week after submitting this application.
The Gifted Testing Offices have final determination on student eligibility for gifted programs offered by the SLPS.
GIFTED students graduating 5th grade out of Columbia Gifted Elementary are automatically assigned to McKinley CJA Middle for 6th grade.
