McKinley CLassical Junior Academy (CJA) Middle offers a rich, diverse and accelerated curriculum for the gifted and talented learner. Recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Gold Star School and by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School, McKinley CJA Middle has demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics and other benchmarks of successful schools, such as exemplar parent and community engagement, consistent student attendance, highly qualified instructional and support staff, plus a safe and efficient school environment.
Requirements:
- Students must achieve eligible scores on tests administered by the SLPS Gifted Testing Offices. Scores submitted for test results administered by private testing vendors will not be accepted for review. Scores submitted for tests administered by other school districts are subject to review and approval by the SLPS Gifted Testing Offices.
- Minimum eligible scores are 90% on academic achievement and intelligence tests.
- Gifted Permission to Assess online submission form must be returned 1 week after submitting this application.
The Gifted Testing Offices have final determination on student eligibility for gifted programs offered by the SLPS.
