For more information regarding the application process, please email or call (314) 633-5200. In the 2023-24 School Year, Carnahan will continue its transition to a middle school with a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) focus. This will include leadership, coding, media and gaming components. Carnahan STEAM Middle will have 6th and 7th grades in the 2023-2024 school year as it grows one additional grade each subsequent year. For the 2023-2024 school year, Carnahan 12th grade students will remain enrolled and be allowed to graduate in May 2024. For the 2023-24 School Year application period: St. Louis County students residing in participating St. Louis County school districts must have a sibling currently attending an SLPS Magnet School to be considered for potential placement in schools for grades KG-12. The 2023-2024 school year will be the last year St. Louis County resident siblings of current SLPS students will be permitted to apply and be considered for placement to an SLPS Magnet School.Please contact the Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation at 314-772-8422 for more information. For more information regarding St. Louis Public Schools Gifted Programs eligibility determination/testing, please call the SLPS Gifted & Talented Office at (314) 345-2435. FOR 2023-24: Assigned Testing/Evaluation Appointments will be provided to Gifted Education Programs applicants by the SLPS Gifted Office. 2023-24 school year online application submissions will be closed after August 4, 2023. Only paper submitted applications to schools and grades with open seats will be processed up until August 4, 2023. You will NOT be notified if your paper application submitted after August 4,2023 has not been processed. #WeChooseSLPS
